Rabbi Ari J. Goldstein came to Temple Beth Shalom in 2004 with his wife, rabbi Hanna Yerushalmi and their daughters, Sela and Nava. Since coming, two sons, Sammy and Juda joined the family. During his four years, our congregation has grown significantly in program, facility, and membership.

Rabbi Goldstein was born in Baltimore, MD, and grew up in New Orleans, LA. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and The Hebrew Union College. While in rabbinical school, he studied in Jerusalem and Cincinnati.

Rabbi Goldstein began his career in Glencoe, IL at North Shore Congregation Israel, the largest reform congregation in the greater Chicago area. From there, he served at Congregation M’kor Shalom, a large and vibrant in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Rabbi Goldstein is an enthusiastic Zionist. He has led two synagogue missions to Israel and five teen tours. He currently serves on the rabbinic board of directors for Israel Bonds.

Rabbi Goldstein brings a wealth of pastoral, programmatic and organizational experience to his work. He loves preaching and teaching, and connects well with people of all ages and backgrounds. He invites you to be in touch with him by email at tbsrabbi@comcast.net or by calling him at 410-757-0552.
