The goal of our BSTY Youth Group program is to have time for our children to play with other Jewish children in an informal setting. We want them to enjoy a variety of activities that wouldn't be possible in our formal religious school time.

The Youth Committee is pleased to support and guide this newest version of our youth group program BeaSTY (Beth Shalom Temple Youth). Temple Beth Shalom has been fortunate to experience a healthy growth in our membership, especially among families with school-age children. With our youth population at record levels, this is the perfect opportunity to launch a vibrant youth group program to serve our community for years to come. In addition to a new and revitalized Senior BeaSTY (high school), we will also be supporting a Junior BeaSTY (grades 6-8), Mini BeaSTY (grades 3-5), and Bitty BeaSTY (grades K-2). Parent's of the Bitty BSTY and Mini BSTY plan activities at least once a month, mostly on a Sunday afternoon. Contact Hanna Yerushalmi at rhy@comcast.net for details.

Our Sr BSTY is more independent and has planned activities often. The group worked recently painting and fixing our new Youth Lounge for their informal meetings here at temple. Future activities include: annual Shul-in scheduled for Friday, January 28, ice skating at Quiet Waters, organizing the synagogue Purim Carnival and the NFTY Spring event "The Vent"

BSTY Youth Group Registration Form

Students in grades 8 - 12 are encouraged to join the SENIOR Youth Group. These students participate in temple programs (coordinate and run the Purim carnival) and other activities throughout the year.

Students in grades 5 - 7 are welcome to join the JUNIOR Youth Group. These students get together a few times a year for social activities.

Students in grades 2 - 4 are welcome to join the MINI Youth Group which meets a few times a year for social activities.

Students in pre-kindergarten through first grade are welcome to join the BITTY Youth Group which meets a few times a year for social activities.
